This year for the fourth time SZEGA Foods organizes the National Cheese Contest. In the contest 15 internationally recognized countries compete for the “Best Cheese of Hungary” title with their traditional specialties. Utilizing SZEGA Food’s decades of experience as cheese merchant as well as working together with the competing countries embassies were those cheese chosen which fit the motto “European cheese and gastronomy” and participate in the contest.

This year the social responsibility has a role as well because with the help of blind and visually impaired we popularize the contesting cheese. We pay special attention fo the fundraising as well, since we aid with 100Ft “Mozdulj” non-profi association after every taste-box is purchased by customers.

First time this year the qualifier will start with the hungarian cheese contest on July 7th 2016 in the SZEGA Market (1026, Budapest Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 121). The crowd chosen favorite cheese will represent Hungary at the National Contest. The second round will start at August 27th where only the the best of Europe compete each other. The victory ceremony will be held at 25th Wine Festival of Budapest on September 11.
